Outfit: Black & Red Chinese New Year

I haven't posted an outfit post in over 2 years on my blog. This year I've decided to make it a goal to post more outfit snaps as I do miss taking outfit snap pictures and posting them on my blog.

I wore this cute black and red outfit for Chinese New Year and I've gotten a lot of compliments on how cute it looks.

Outfit details: wine beret hat is from YesStyle
Lace black top from from H&M
Wine red skirt from Forever 21
Over kneed high leather boots from Aldo

Also had a fun time taking some selfies with some fun beauty photo apps as well.

Outfit: Heart Suspender Tights

Spring weather is here! Excited to wear my tattoo tights again. Simple black and white outfit I put together paired with heart suspender tights! I want to get back into jogging again but the weather is still a bit cold. So maybe I'll wait until May when it's a bit warmer to jog outside as I don't want to catch a cold and get sick. Speaking of getting sick, I haven't been feeling too well lately. Always feeling tired and sleepy all the time and waking up way too early before my alarm. Anticipating for cherry blossoms to bloom but don't even know when they'll bloom since we're like still having winter weather here in Toronto, lol.

Outfit: Collar Birds Print Blue Sweater

My first time wearing colour! Really, when is winter going to come to an end? I'm wearing this birds print blue sweater with a detachable collar that I bought from yesstyle in this post here. I paired it with a black leather skirt that I found on sale from Costa Blanca

I have been shopping around lately for some new spring clothes but can't seem to find anything that I like. Most stores still seem to be selling winter stuff which I'm trying to avoid because I'm so over winter already! I want some really cute and bright colourful pastel colours for spring clothes but a lot of stores seem to carry more black, white and greys. Where's all the pink, mint, purple and yellow?! At times like this is when I tend to want to go back to online shopping where I can find what I want to buy. However, I always talk myself out of it because by the time the clothes get here, I'd probably have no use for them anymore. So my only other solution is to wait and hopefully the stores here will offer something that catches my eye or suits my taste. But then again, not finding anything I like may be a good thing so I can save money and have more money for other things like food and going out! =D

Outfit: Cat Print Dress

Hello lovely readers, I'm back with another outfit post from last week. I still have so many photos taken both on my actual camera and iPhone that has never even seen daylight yet because I never had time to transfer them from my iPhone and camera. Well, more of just my iPhone because I recently bought a new computer over the x'mas holidays and I haven't sycned my iPhone to iTunes since then because I need to backup all my stuff first (like remake my music playlist) before syncing my iPhone into iTunes otherwise I'd lose all my apps and photos on my phone and have no music in there! I have been transferring my photos (the ones I want to blog about and edit) the long way via emailing them to myself so I won't have to sync my iPhone to access them. And yeah that takes me sooooo long to do. I should really finish up my music playlist this weekend so that I can finally sync my iPhone and transfer all my photos to my computer because I am running out of storage space to take new photos that I have to delete old ones to take more photos, lol. Yeah, it's that bad. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade to a new phone at the end of the year this year. XD

I LOVE this cat print dress that I bought from H&M back in the summer. It's actually very thick and warm so please don't think I am crazy for wearing a dress in this super cold weather. Well, maybe I am kind of crazy because I'd wear dresses all year round whether it's winter or summer, haha. But I layered it with a thin cardigan for extra warmth and wearing the cat ear headband I bought from eBay to match with the outfit. I'm just missing some cat print tattoo tights. Maybe I should get that for spring/summer.

I went out for dinner last Friday with a friend at Mabu Station 麻布小館 which I have blogged about before. I wanted to try their famous toast bread decorated with fruits and sweets on top.

We ordered popcorn chicken to eat as an appetizer.

This custard pudding served in an egg was actually a free dessert we got. The restaurant has this promotion where if you go eat at the restaurant and take a picture of their food and post/share it on facebook, they will give you 4 free custard puddings. After you have posted the picture on facebook, you simply show the waitress/waiter and they will give you the free custard puddings. Isn't that such an awesome promotion?! I think that is a really cool promotion. Omg, they should have more restaurants doing this! o(≧∇≦o)

The toast bread that we ordered. We actually got a fruit mix toast bread with honey inside. It was really sweet and omg, don't let the size fool you! It might actually look small in the pictures above but it's actually quite big in person. We didn't even end up finish eating the whole toast because it was honestly too big and too much! But it was quite yummy and good! =)

Outfit: Star Studs Skirt

Just a quick short update on an outfit that I've been wearing to work a lot for the past couple of weeks featuring the stars stud skirt that I bought from YesStyle in this post here. It fits within my work dress code as "office casual" with it looking a bit cutesy but yet still appropriate to wear in an office environment. I actually found this white stripe short 3/4 sleeves sweater at H&M while strolling around in there one day after work. I quite like it. It's actually very form fitting and not as thick as my other winter sweaters that I can actually wear it on the warmer days during spring as well. I also picked up two thin layer skirts at H&M recently that I can wear with this sweater paired with some thin pattern tights for a more spring look! Maybe I'll show another spring version featuring this sweater in another outfit post later.

Speaking of spring, I'm soooo tired of all the ice and snow we have here in Toronto. I can't wait for the warm weather where I can wear more pastel bright colour clothes and ditch my all black, white and grey outfits. What are you looking forward to in spring?

Outfit: Black Polkadots Collar And Hi-Lo Skirt

It's been a month since my last outfit post. I've been extremely busy with work lately that I haven't had time to take any outfit pictures. I'm hoping to take more for the summer and I have so many outfits planned that I want to talk and post about.

Anyway, here's one that I took recently with a black and white theme. Something that's really big and popular in trend for the summer this year. Black x white.

Picked up this sheer polkadots black and white top with a collar at Forever21 last week that is suitable to wear at work and off work days. Killing two stones at once. I love versatile tops that I can wear for different occasions!

It was really hard for me to photograph the black hi-lo skirt in a full outfit snap for some reason. I spent over an hour taking pictures but none of them came out good enough for me to post them so in the end I just took a photo of it on the floor with my black fringe sandals and top. I love this hi-lo skirt! It's super comfortable and very flowy that it's great for those hot summer days especially when the wind is blowing and it gives your legs a nice breeze while also giving your legs enough coverage so that there's not too much skin exposure. Perfect and great for conservative people like me who's not too into exposing too much skin. =P

Spring Shopping! (Aldo Accessories and H&M)

Did more spring shopping this week from Aldo Accessories and H&M. I think I'm almost done spring clothes shopping. I just have a few more key items to get and I'm all set for spring! =D

I got these really pretty mint green, gold and pearl rings from Aldo Accessories on Friday. This is actually my first time ever buying rings in my entire life. Anybody who knows me personally would know that I am hardly ever seen wearing any rings simply because I don't like the "feeling" of having rings on my fingers. It kind of gives my fingers this very itchy and tickling feeling and I don't know why. I'll probably never wear my wedding ring when I get married in the future but instead I'll wear it on a necklace. I'm sorry future husband, you'll have to deal with this weird allergy (can it be considered as an allergy since I kind of have allergic reactions to rings?! XD) that I have, lol. However, these rings didn't give me any uncomfortable feelings at all when I tried them on and I was just so in love with them that it felt almost like it was love at first sight! I also love that the mint green, gold and pearl is a perfect colour theme for spring. It's so refreshing and with a hint of the soft girly cute look. ^___~ I finally found out what my ring size is too, which is 7 so now I know for future reference when I buy rings! XD

Got this light blue button up dress shirt from H&M last week. I love the fabric on this shirt. It's super soft and thin that it's great for layering in the spring and summer on cold days when it's a bit chilly. I especially like how it's got a bit of stripe details on the inside of the sleeves at the bottom cuffs when you fold them up and at the back of the shirt near the collar. Also, the "patch" detail on the elbow of the sleeves is a super cute special touch add-on!

Because I love the light blue dress shirt so much I actually went back to buy a pink version at H&M on Friday! I don't think I have anything in this light of a pink so it's a great new colour to add to my wardrobe. =)

I was also cleaning and reorganizing my closet on Friday night. I put away all my thick heavy winter clothes and start organizing all my spring clothes. It wasn't until I started going through my spring clothes that I have found so many clothes I bought before that I have forgotten about. I've been buying some much clothes lately that I haven't actually got the time to sit down and plan how I want to wear them. Things like what do I currently have in my closet that would match with this skirt, what item am I missing to match with this top, or how can I wear this top in ways to create 3 different outfits and make the best use of it? These are the kind of things I usually ponder about after I buy clothes home. I also always go by the rule of how can I match this top/skirt to create 3 different outfit looks whenever I go shopping for clothes. If I can't think of at least 2 other ways of wearing the top/skirt then I usually pass on getting the item. It really helps to save me money in the long run because I absolutely hate buying clothes that you can only wear once in one way and no other. I try to avoid making purchases on clothes like such unless I really like the top! It just really makes me feel like I wasted my money and not really getting for my money's worth. Always shop smart and save and not buying whatever appeals to the eye.

Another big thing I want to take into consideration while shopping for spring/summer clothes this year is colour. I'm trying to buy clothes in colours that I currently don't have. Colours such as purple, mint green, red and yellow. I also want to consider trying new styles too and not buying too much of the same material or style/type of clothes. For example, I have 3 long tulle skirts for summer in almost the same colour. I think this summer I want to focus more on getting shorts in different colours with unique patterns and prints on them rather buying more skirts that all look the same. I need less of the "same" type of clothes in my closet and more variety. I just feel that I tend to get sick and tired of my clothes more easily when they're all looking somewhat the same. I need a change for once this year! I think I might need to write myself these friendly "shopping tips and reminders" on my iPhone notes just so I don't forget them when I go shopping. LOL. =P

Mickey Mouse Outfit

The weather's been getting warmer lately and I can finally wear my mickey mouse sweater with skirts! But still not warm enough to be wearing skirts out without tights though so I still need to layer up to keep warm. Can't wait to wear skirts when spring is here. I just can't seem to be "myself" wearing pants to stay warm in the winter, it somehow doesn't feel right. Maybe it's my own personal preference but wearing dresses and skirts have seem to become a big part of my fashion style over the years.

Also, it seems like it's a been a very long time since I last took any outfit pictures with my hair straight. Speaking of hair, my ends have been getting extremely dry with split ends. I think I need to visit the salon for a hair trim and oil treatment. I'm also thinking of whether if I should get a bangs cut while I'm at it. I'm just not so sure how I feel about getting a hair change right now. I always fear that I might regret it afterwards. Ah, what to do?

Japanese Roomwear: Pink Skull Sweater

I'm a big fan of skull accessories and clothes. Anything with skulls and I am sold! lol. I heart this skull sweater so much. It can be worn as just a normal sweater out with some shorts or skinny jeans but this is how I'd wear it at home for a roomwear coordinate. The pink skull sweater I got from YesStyle a few years back and I paired it up with a tank stripe dress underneath. The heart print slippers with pompoms are from Ardene which matches well with the black and white stripe tank dress and sweater since the inside of the hood is black as well and there's a black skull patch at the front. A more casual, girly and fun roomwear outfit to wear at home to spice up your looks! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Japanese Roomwear: Fleece Sweater & Shorts!

I got this fleece white zip up sweater and shorts from YesStyle a few years back. The slippers with pompoms at the side I found at Aldo Accessories and they happen to match the sweater and shorts perfectly! This is my favourite roomwear pieces to wear of all time. The sweater is really warm and the furs are super soft and don't itch your skin at all. I think the shorts can be a little too short at times though. But other than that, I think this outfit is the perfect roomwear/loungewear to wear at home on a not so cold winter day! (◡‿◡✿)
