I know this post is like long overdue but I wanted to do a fashion post on some of the outfits I wore in Tokyo. And since it's fall so these outfits would still be relevant to the weather now. Some outfit snaps of what I bought/wore when I was on Tokyo during my trip last year. Some pictures were taken after I got back from my trip and some were taken while I was in Tokyo.
The beanie hat I got it from a store in Tokyo at the P'Parco mall in Ikebukuro and the grey skirt I got from the Forever 21 store in Shibuya. I love the beanie hat so much, it's simple but yet cute. I always see it in Japanese magazines and dramas so I have wanted to get one.
How I style and wear my free Attack on Titan x BEAMS tote bag that I got from the ViVi magazine.
Snoopy t-shirt that I also got from Forever 21 in Shibuya.
And guess what? It was a perfect outfit match with the free Snoopy x Cher tote bag that I got from the Sweet magazine! Love how you can easily incorporate tote bags in Japan to make your outfit a whole lot cuter.
Another outfit I put together featuring a more edgy style for fall. I got a compliment from a co-worker at work a week ago when I wore this. Wearing a black t-shirt that I got from Top of the Rocks at the Rockefeller Centre in New York City. White long-sleeve organza-panel long shirt from YesStyle. Cross bandage tights from YesStyle. Wedge sneakers from Ardene.
Today is the first day of fall and I have been waiting for fall to arrive for so long! Summer was good but I have never really been a summer person, especially when it comes to fashion because I simply LOVE layering and it is often too hot to wear layers of clothes in the summer. So I'm very excited for fall to come because I can now wear my fall jackets and coats and sweaters and wear different tights and stockings to match with my outfits. Fall also allows to wear my tattoo tights more often and here's an outfit I put together featuring one of my favourite pair of tattoo tights.
Outfit details:
Bowler hat from eBay
Off-shoulder tie-sleeve blouse from YesStyle
Skirt from H&M
Jewelry design tattoo tights from eBay
Boots from YesStyle
A few weeks ago, I was so excited for fall that I started making a list of different outfits with clothes that I have in my wardrobe. A lot of the times, I often buy clothes home and somehow end up not wearing them because 1) I either have nothing to match them with 2) I simply forget that I even have them in my closet. So a few weeks ago, while I was still rearranging the new furnitures I got for my room and organizing all my stuff, I also decided to reorganize my closet and pack away all my summer clothes. I realized that I actually have soooo many basic items that I can work with to incorporate into many different outfits. I came up with a list of over 20+ different outfits that I can wear and now I don't think I need to even shop for new clothes, lol. But of course, I will still shop for newer style of clothes that I do not own from time to time. XD But my main focus is to try to save money and work with what I already have. I also realize as I get older, my personal style has just become more "simple" and I prefer to buy more classic piece items where I can mix and match with easily to wear them over and over again as oppose to buying one time items that are only good to wear for certain occasions. Sometimes a basic item is all that you need to make an outfit work and I keep reminding myself whenever I go shopping now that I need to shop for more basic and timelessclassic items that can be worn throughout time and still be stylish and fashionable.
It's summer and I have been loving wearing all white and white themed clothes. They're just soooo much lighter and cooler compared to wearing dark colours like black where I'll be burning in the sun! But as much as I would like to wear white more in the summer, there are days when I can't such as when I'm on my period and I'm reverted to wearing black bottoms again. -___- It sucks even more when my period usually last for as long as two weeks so there are so few little days when I can actually wear white top and bottom in the summer. I really like this outfit. It's just so summer and with the flowers hair clip and earrings I'm wearing, I look like I'm ready to go on a vacation to Hawaii or Bali! lol.
Here are some outfit details of what I'm wearing and where I got them.
White off-shoulder top from YesStyle
White rose print skirt from H&M
Beige cross band sandals from YesStyle
Flower earrings from Smart Set
Flower hair clip (souvenir gift from a friend in Hawaii)
I also wore this new pink lipstick from revlon that I got from Shoppers Drugmart over the x'mas holiday season sale. I really like it. It really gives my lips a pop or colour and also makes me look more "清純" lol. I normally don't wear lipstick but I'm starting to like lipstick more as it really defines your face especially when you smile. I want to try and explore more different looks with different lipstick colours. ( ˘ ³˘)♥
Taking a break from my Japan trip post and doing an outfit post instead which I haven't done in a really long time. I haven't even taken any outfit snaps ever since my trip to Tokyo which was over 7 months ago. Wow, that must have been a new record for me, lol. I miss taking outfit snaps and I want to get back into doing them again.
Leopard hood leather jacket from YesStyle
White stripe tee from H&M
Leather skirt from Forever 21
Poker tights from YesStyle
Gold and silver spikes boots from Yeswalker
Spikes necklace from ebay
Gold and silver spikes hat from YesStyle
I call this my badass spiked leather outfit. I'm really into leather and spikes lately. I'm usually known or view as the "sweet girly girl" but I don't think many people know that there is actually a very boyish side to me as well. Such as I am not that afraid of heights, that I would actually watch scary ghost movies alone. I am much stronger and braver than I look. I can also be quite rebellious as well. It's okay to be a bit rebellious in life sometimes for life is too short and who gives a damn what other people think. I just want to be me and wear what I want because for youth does not wait for anyone. So it's okay to just be you!
Spring weather is here! Excited to wear my tattoo tights again. Simple black and white outfit I put together paired with heart suspender tights! I want to get back into jogging again but the weather is still a bit cold. So maybe I'll wait until May when it's a bit warmer to jog outside as I don't want to catch a cold and get sick. Speaking of getting sick, I haven't been feeling too well lately. Always feeling tired and sleepy all the time and waking up way too early before my alarm. Anticipating for cherry blossoms to bloom but don't even know when they'll bloom since we're like still having winter weather here in Toronto, lol.
My first time wearing colour! Really, when is winter going to come to an end? I'm wearing this birds print blue sweater with a detachable collar that I bought from yesstyle in this post here. I paired it with a black leather skirt that I found on sale from Costa Blanca.
I have been shopping around lately for some new spring clothes but can't seem to find anything that I like. Most stores still seem to be selling winter stuff which I'm trying to avoid because I'm so over winter already! I want some really cute and bright colourful pastel colours for spring clothes but a lot of stores seem to carry more black, white and greys. Where's all the pink, mint, purple and yellow?! At times like this is when I tend to want to go back to online shopping where I can find what I want to buy. However, I always talk myself out of it because by the time the clothes get here, I'd probably have no use for them anymore. So my only other solution is to wait and hopefully the stores here will offer something that catches my eye or suits my taste. But then again, not finding anything I like may be a good thing so I can save money and have more money for other things like food and going out! =D
Hello lovely readers, I'm back with another outfit post from last week. I still have so many photos taken both on my actual camera and iPhone that has never even seen daylight yet because I never had time to transfer them from my iPhone and camera. Well, more of just my iPhone because I recently bought a new computer over the x'mas holidays and I haven't sycned my iPhone to iTunes since then because I need to backup all my stuff first (like remake my music playlist) before syncing my iPhone into iTunes otherwise I'd lose all my apps and photos on my phone and have no music in there! I have been transferring my photos (the ones I want to blog about and edit) the long way via emailing them to myself so I won't have to sync my iPhone to access them. And yeah that takes me sooooo long to do. I should really finish up my music playlist this weekend so that I can finally sync my iPhone and transfer all my photos to my computer because I am running out of storage space to take new photos that I have to delete old ones to take more photos, lol. Yeah, it's that bad. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade to a new phone at the end of the year this year. XD
I LOVE this cat print dress that I bought from H&M back in the summer. It's actually very thick and warm so please don't think I am crazy for wearing a dress in this super cold weather. Well, maybe I am kind of crazy because I'd wear dresses all year round whether it's winter or summer, haha. But I layered it with a thin cardigan for extra warmth and wearing the cat ear headband I bought from eBay to match with the outfit. I'm just missing some cat print tattoo tights. Maybe I should get that for spring/summer.
I went out for dinner last Friday with a friend at Mabu Station 麻布小館which I have blogged about before. I wanted to try their famous toast bread decorated with fruits and sweets on top.
We ordered popcorn chicken to eat as an appetizer.
This custard pudding served in an egg was actually a free dessert we got. The restaurant has this promotion where if you go eat at the restaurant and take a picture of their food and post/share it on facebook, they will give you 4 free custard puddings. After you have posted the picture on facebook, you simply show the waitress/waiter and they will give you the free custard puddings. Isn't that such an awesome promotion?! I think that is a really cool promotion. Omg, they should have more restaurants doing this! o(≧∇≦o)
The toast bread that we ordered. We actually got a fruit mix toast bread with honey inside. It was really sweet and omg, don't let the size fool you! It might actually look small in the pictures above but it's actually quite big in person. We didn't even end up finish eating the whole toast because it was honestly too big and too much! But it was quite yummy and good! =)
Just a quick short update on an outfit that I've been wearing to work a lot for the past couple of weeks featuring the stars stud skirt that I bought from YesStyle in this post here. It fits within my work dress code as "office casual" with it looking a bit cutesy but yet still appropriate to wear in an office environment. I actually found this white stripe short 3/4 sleeves sweater at H&M while strolling around in there one day after work. I quite like it. It's actually very form fitting and not as thick as my other winter sweaters that I can actually wear it on the warmer days during spring as well. I also picked up two thin layer skirts at H&M recently that I can wear with this sweater paired with some thin pattern tights for a more spring look! Maybe I'll show another spring version featuring this sweater in another outfit post later. Speaking of spring, I'm soooo tired of all the ice and snow we have here in Toronto. I can't wait for the warm weather where I can wear more pastel bright colour clothes and ditch my all black, white and grey outfits. What are you looking forward to in spring?
I'm posting this a day early because it is already valentine's day for some people in a different time zone. How are you spending valentine's day? With a special someone? With friends? Whether if you celebrate this sweet romantic day and if you have or don't have a special someone to celebrate with, I hope you still get to enjoy it! =)
Last year I did a series of different valentine's day outfits with different themes on my blog to inspire and give my readers some ideas on what to wear for valentine's day. This year I originally had in a mind a valentine's day outfit that I wanted to photoshoot and post on my blog but sadly I am too busy with work that I have no time to do it. However, here is a really amazing valentine's day sweet that you can make to share and eat with your friends (or special someone) that is created by one of my favourite YouTube cooking channelsCooking with Dog.
Valentine's Day Chocolate Mousse! Omg, this is totally my kind of food to eat on valentine's day. I am not much of a chocolate/candy fan, so I'd rather not receive chocolates or candies to eat on valentine's day. However, I LOVE eating cakes and baked sweets. This would be a perfect treat to eat on valentine's day! And I love watching all the food tutorial videos from the channel Cooking with Dog. They are all so easy to make and look so delicious that I want to make all the food on the channel! You can learn how to make this valentine's day chocolate mousse in the video below.
Since I don't have any outfits prepared for this year, here are the 6 different valentine's outfits that I have created last year that you can take a look at for some inspiration on what to wear for valentine's day.
What are you wearing for valentine's day? I already have in mind of what I am going to wear to work tomorrow. Also, we're having a little valentine's day treat thing going on at work where we each get a paper bag decorated with our names on it and everyone brings in a little treat to put in the bag. I'll post a picture of it later tomorrow when I edit this post. My bag of treats is still at work, I forgot to take it home today, lol. XD
EDIT: My bag of sweet treats that I received from my co-workers at work today. OMG SO NOSTALGIC! It feels like I'm back in elementary school again with the paper bag and receiving treats inside for valentine's day. XD However, I will be giving away almost all these treats for my brother to eat instead because I am not much of a candy/chocolate fan and because I don't want to break out with pimples eating too much chocolates. I also don't want to have cavities from eating all the candies too because I have really bad teeth to begin with. >___<
I can't even recall what I did this week other than being busy with work and catching up on sleep. I have been so sleep deprived this week that I was having migraines at work everyday. It was soooooo horrible that I felt like my brain was going to explode. I should have maybe took a sick day off work but knowing the workaholic me, I'd still work even when I'm sick of hell unless I'm so sick that I can't even talk or move to get out of my bed.
Sometimes I just need to know my limits and not work so hard that I overwork myself and then regret it later. My body would thank me so much for it but I always somehow talk myself into thinking "I'll be okay, just work harder for 2 more days and then catch up on rest later" But then I feel like I'm going to die later and then I ask myself why do I always do this to myself?! *workaholic issues* Anyone find themselves in the same position where you think you need a break to reboot yourself but yet you don't want to because you think you can manage to get through somehow? Sigh. I just never learn. (−_−;)
Anyway, I wanted to post about another outfit that I have taken during the Christmas holidays. I know...it is so long overdue! I still have so many pictures on my iPhone that I never finished transferring to my computer to organize them and edit them so that I could post and blog about them. I'm starting to run out of space to take more pictures on my phone too. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade my phone, lol.
I'm wearing this pink overall from the Japanese brand CO & LU that I have bought from Japan a few years back. I never got to wear this pink overall all that much ever since I got it but it is still one of my favourite item that I have bought. It's just so pink and cute and comfortable to wear! A great outfit to wear for those lazy days when you just want to lounge around at home and do nothing. (▰˘◡˘▰)The pink knit beanie hat is from yesstyle that I also got a few years back. It just happens to match the pink overall so perfectly! o (^‿^✿) How was everyone's week?I hope it was better than mine.
