I was a bit more festive this year. I wore red and had fun playing with these Christmas filters with a new photo app I downloaded recently. I'm loving the filters on this app so you may see more selfies of me on my blog taken with the app next year, lol.
I also received these 2 pretty and elegant looking festive earrings from a friend as a Christmas gift. Love them a lot. Can't wait to wear them and pair them with my outfits.
Happy Halloween!!! This year I decided to be a neko (cat) for Halloween. I actually just wanted an excuse to wear my cat ears headband, lol. (=^.^=)
Also at work we had a pumpkin decoration contest where we were split into teams to decorate a pumpkin and we put it up at the front lobby of the school for students to vote for the best decorated pumpkin and my team actually won! =D
We made Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas! I have actually never seen the movie. I think I should watch it tonight to celebrate our victory. XD I drew her face and my team members help painted her and did her hair. We even made a movie poster to add for the background.
Other pumpkins made by other teams. The Drake one was really nice and artistic. It actually won 2nd place! How are you celebrating Halloween? Are you dressing up as anything this year?
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to update my blog as often as I would want to. There are sooooo many things I want to blog about and I really want to be able to get back to blogging more. But there are also a lot of "life" things I need to deal with at the moment and I need to prioritize them more than spending time on my blog. But I also feel really bad when I neglect my blog or when I don't blog as often as I hope to be as my blog is sort of an escape for me to get away from all the stress and worries in life. I have been back logging a lot of my blog post because I don't have time to blog about them in time. Just like how I need to back log this post as well cuz I didn't get to post it in time. =(
Happy 20th anniversary to Yamapi! It's been 20 years since he joined his talent agency Johnny's Entertainment. He was only just 11 years old back then. Who knew this little boy would grow up doing so many different things and becoming one of Japan's most popular idols and giving so many inspiration and dreams to all his fans. Twenty years is a very long time and I am truly grateful and happy for Yamapi to have made it so far. I'm pretty sure he's gone through many ups and downs in this journey of him being an idol, actor, and singer. From being in a group to having a solo career. It sure wasn't easy! And despite his lack of abilities and talent in many areas such as he's not great at MC or speaking, he's not the best actor or singer, he's not as much of an entertaining or interesting person. But he'd still never give up and strive to be the very best idol he can to his fans. When I read fan reports about his Future Fantasy concert tour and how much he misses being on stage so much to the point where he was hugging the stairs on the stage just goes to show how much Yamapi loves to be able to stand on stage and sing and perform for his fans. It truly makes me feel really touched what a down to earth person he is and how he still remains to be so humble and thanking his fans for all their love and support throughout the years because without them, he wouldn't be where he is now. And as a fan for 10 years, I must say THANK YOU to you, Yamapi. Thanks for always giving me the hope to never give up and chase after my dreams. You have truly been an inspiration to me and I'm sure you are also a big inspiration to many of your fans as well. I wish you for the very best in the future in finding success in doing whatever you do. Cheers for another 20th year anniversary and more. Please stay awesome and continue to be the dream and inspiration to all your fans and the people who love and support you. ♥
MERRYCHRISTMAS!!!! Sorry I haven't updated in about 2 weeks. I have been sick and work got busy and I was also really stressed out about some personal things. So glad I have the next few days off before going back to work again next week. Still feeling kind of sick at the moment so I'm trying to get more rest and spend less time on the computer. Anyway, here are some pictures I took a few weeks back when I went to visit the Christmas Market at the distillery district area in downtown near Front street. It was actually my first time ever going this year and it was quite an interesting experience (minus all the crowd and lineups for every shop) and I would go again but maybe not on a Friday night when there are soooo many people everywhere. I hope everyone else is having a great Christmas and if I don't update my blog in time for the new year, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!!! =)
Hello! I haven't blogged in over a week. I have been feeling too lazy for the past week to do any blog related work. I did however get my flight to Japan booked and made reservation for my hotel I am staying at. Anyway, here's a little update on my birthday.
I went to dine at a restaurant calledMomofuku Noodle Bar at Queen and University right next to the Shangri la Hotel. The food was kind of expensive, $15 for a bowl of ramen which wasn't anything special. I got the pork belly ramen and two pork buns (which was a famous appetizer from the restaurant) I was researching on some new restaurants to eat at for my birthday and came across this one. What's interesting was that the restaurant originated from New York and they have 3 floors each pertaining to serve different food. The noodle bar was located on the first floor serving mostly ramen and snacks. On the second floor they serve dessert and pastry like cookies and cakes. On the third floor it's a bit more fancy where they serve food like seafood and steak. I thought the concept of the restaurant was pretty interesting but overall the food is just average. It's more of a place to go for the "atmosphere" and experience.
I came into work today and my work booth was decorated with signs and tissue papers hanging down with a birthday card on my desk. So sweet and kind of my co-workers! And to top it off, my manager let me get off work an hour early because I had lieu time from a meeting I went to a few weeks ago. =D
Got myself two small pieces of cake (green tea and mango strawberry cheese cake) and 2 egg tarts on my home from work. =)
I'm posting this a day early because it is already valentine's day for some people in a different time zone. How are you spending valentine's day? With a special someone? With friends? Whether if you celebrate this sweet romantic day and if you have or don't have a special someone to celebrate with, I hope you still get to enjoy it! =)
Last year I did a series of different valentine's day outfits with different themes on my blog to inspire and give my readers some ideas on what to wear for valentine's day. This year I originally had in a mind a valentine's day outfit that I wanted to photoshoot and post on my blog but sadly I am too busy with work that I have no time to do it. However, here is a really amazing valentine's day sweet that you can make to share and eat with your friends (or special someone) that is created by one of my favourite YouTube cooking channelsCooking with Dog.
Valentine's Day Chocolate Mousse! Omg, this is totally my kind of food to eat on valentine's day. I am not much of a chocolate/candy fan, so I'd rather not receive chocolates or candies to eat on valentine's day. However, I LOVE eating cakes and baked sweets. This would be a perfect treat to eat on valentine's day! And I love watching all the food tutorial videos from the channel Cooking with Dog. They are all so easy to make and look so delicious that I want to make all the food on the channel! You can learn how to make this valentine's day chocolate mousse in the video below.
Since I don't have any outfits prepared for this year, here are the 6 different valentine's outfits that I have created last year that you can take a look at for some inspiration on what to wear for valentine's day.
What are you wearing for valentine's day? I already have in mind of what I am going to wear to work tomorrow. Also, we're having a little valentine's day treat thing going on at work where we each get a paper bag decorated with our names on it and everyone brings in a little treat to put in the bag. I'll post a picture of it later tomorrow when I edit this post. My bag of treats is still at work, I forgot to take it home today, lol. XD
EDIT: My bag of sweet treats that I received from my co-workers at work today. OMG SO NOSTALGIC! It feels like I'm back in elementary school again with the paper bag and receiving treats inside for valentine's day. XD However, I will be giving away almost all these treats for my brother to eat instead because I am not much of a candy/chocolate fan and because I don't want to break out with pimples eating too much chocolates. I also don't want to have cavities from eating all the candies too because I have really bad teeth to begin with. >___<
Since Halloween is coming up I thought I would share some of the house decorations in my neighbourhood. I love street and neighbourhood. Every year on Halloween and Christmas the houses are always decorated so nice and festive!
What plans do you all have for Halloween? Going trick-or-treating or costume parties?
