Shopping: New All Pink Items From Forever 21

Did some shopping at Forever 21 on Friday and I am SO GLAD I went there on Friday. Found so many cute tops for a good price as I bought 6 items and my total was only $80 (including tax) Heck, usually I buy like 2-3 things from Forever 21 and it already comes up to be $80 plus tax, lol. I find that I am always shopping at Forever 21 at the right time and day because I always find amazingly good pieces whenever I do go there and I only maybe go there like 1-2 times every every 2-3 months because all the Forever 21 stores are pretty far from me. I can't wait for the new one that is opening at Dufferin Mall soon which is only a 10 minute walk from my house. OMG I am going to go there like EVERY WEEK even if I don't plan on buying anything there, lol. And actually they were having a buy one get 2nd item free on Friday when I went for items that are on sale. BUT their sale items were all mostly winter clothes and I am like soooooo long done with shopping with winter clothes I need some new spring/summer clothes. Plus I need to avoid buying all winter clothes as much as possible because I'm planning to buy all that when I go to Japan in October! So on Friday I actually bought everything in regular price and they were all pretty cheap items ranging from $6 to $22 only. =D

Items I bought starting from top left to right. Sunglasses, pink lace crop top, pink lace skirt, pink lace bralette, polkadot white bralette with bow, light pink skinny jegging pants. Yes, I bought almost ALL PINK items! XD

I got these two cute bralette tops with spaghetti straps. These tops are actually extremely popular in Japan. I see them a lot in Japanese fashion magazines. They are actually to be worn just alone paired with a high waist skirt. It looks like they are rather very sexy and revealing like you'd be exposing your stomach and all but it's actually not so much. Because if you wear them with a high waist skirt then it pretty much covers up your stomach and whole entire body with not much skin showing. However, I would personally wear a light jacket (like leather jacket or denim jacket or even a thin cardigan) over the top when I do wear them with a high waist skirt because I am rather a conservative person where I don't like to expose my back or my chest so openly for people to see like you know pervy people, lol. I know a lot of girls wear these kind of crop short bralette tops with a high waist skirt alone with no jacket/cardigan over but I am not brave enough to do so. Or more like I don't have the confidence to do so...it's just not within my comfort zone to dress so sexy like that, lol(*/∇\*) You can actually also wear them with high waist jeans too or low rise short shorts if you are comfortable with exposing so much skin and daring enough to do so! =P

Here's some example of how you can pair these crop/bralette tops from one of my favourite instagram fashion bloggers (hilisaa) that I follow. Yes, we have the same name, haha. Love her fashion style, she's got amazing style! Would totally wear all these outfits in a heart beat. ♥  I find that her taste and style in fashion is so similar to my own too! There are also different kind and style of crop tops you can buy too. Long sleeve ones, vest, t-shirts, quarter sleeves, etc. I know that they sell TONS of these crop style clothes and outfits in Japan so I am waiting patiently to buy all of them when I am there in October! =D

I DO NOT own any of the pictures above. Please follow hilisaa on instagram if you would like to see more outfits on how to style crop tops! =)

Just a cute lace pink skirt I got. It's actually more of a pastel peach/creamy pink colour in person. The filter I used in the picture just made it more pink. XD

Also got this super pretty and cute pink long sleeve lace crop top that coincidentally happen to match and make a good outfit with the pink lace skirt I got. The pink lace top was also the last one left at the store too. I'm just really lucky to have found it. Actually I'm always pretty lucky whenever I shop at Forever 21 in finding last pieces, haha. I have good eyes perhaps or just really really good luck! ^____~

OMG I was SOOO HAPPY to find these pink jegging pants and they were only $18!!! I have been wanting to get light pink jegging pants for the LONGEST time but they always sold out my size whenever I find them at the store. T_T So when I found that they have my size I immediately grabbed them right away before someone else takes them! XD They also sell them in white which I also wanted to get one but they didn't have my size in white. =( I'm planning to go back again next week and hopefully they will restock the white in my size. =)

Cute sunglasses I got for fun to wear in the summer time.

Valentine's Day Sweets And Outfits!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I'm posting this a day early because it is already valentine's day for some people in a different time zone. How are you spending valentine's day? With a special someone? With friends? Whether if you celebrate this sweet romantic day and if you have or don't have a special someone to celebrate with, I hope you still get to enjoy it! =)

Last year I did a series of different valentine's day outfits with different themes on my blog to inspire and give my readers some ideas on what to wear for valentine's day. This year I originally had in a mind a valentine's day outfit that I wanted to photoshoot and post on my blog but sadly I am too busy with work that I have no time to do it. However, here is a really amazing valentine's day sweet that you can make to share and eat with your friends (or special someone) that is created by one of my favourite YouTube cooking channels Cooking with Dog.

Valentine's Day Chocolate Mousse! Omg, this is totally my kind of food to eat on valentine's day. I am not much of a chocolate/candy fan, so I'd rather not receive chocolates or candies to eat on valentine's day. However, I LOVE eating cakes and baked sweets. This would be a perfect treat to eat on valentine's day! And I love watching all the food tutorial videos from the channel Cooking with Dog. They are all so easy to make and look so delicious that I want to make all the food on the channel! You can learn how to make this valentine's day chocolate mousse in the video below.

Since I don't have any outfits prepared for this year, here are the 6 different valentine's outfits that I have created last year that you can take a look at for some inspiration on what to wear for valentine's day.

What are you wearing for valentine's day? I already have in mind of what I am going to wear to work tomorrow. Also, we're having a little valentine's day treat thing going on at work where we each get a paper bag decorated with our names on it and everyone brings in a little treat to put in the bag. I'll post a picture of it later tomorrow when I edit this post. My bag of treats is still at work, I forgot to take it home today, lol. XD

EDIT: My bag of sweet treats that I received from my co-workers at work today. OMG SO NOSTALGIC! It feels like I'm back in elementary school again with the paper bag and receiving treats inside for valentine's day. XD However, I will be giving away almost all these treats for my brother to eat instead because I am not much of a candy/chocolate fan and because I don't want to break out with pimples eating too much chocolates. I also don't want to have cavities from eating all the candies too because I have really bad teeth to begin with. >___<

Outfit: CO & LU Pink Overall

Hello! It's yet another Sunday.

I can't even recall what I did this week other than being busy with work and catching up on sleep. I have been so sleep deprived this week that I was having migraines at work everyday. It was soooooo horrible that I felt like my brain was going to explode. I should have maybe took a sick day off work but knowing the workaholic me, I'd still work even when I'm sick of hell unless I'm so sick that I can't even talk or move to get out of my bed.

Sometimes I just need to know my limits and not work so hard that I overwork myself and then regret it later. My body would thank me so much for it but I always somehow talk myself into thinking "I'll be okay, just work harder for 2 more days and then catch up on rest later" But then I feel like I'm going to die later and then I ask myself why do I always do this to myself?! *workaholic issues* Anyone find themselves in the same position where you think you need a break to reboot yourself but yet you don't want to because you think you can manage to get through somehow? Sigh. I just never learn. (−_−;)

Anyway, I wanted to post about another outfit that I have taken during the Christmas holidays. I know...it is so long overdue! I still have so many pictures on my iPhone that I never finished transferring to my computer to organize them and edit them so that I could post and blog about them. I'm starting to run out of space to take more pictures on my phone too. I seriously need to get a phone with more storage space when I upgrade my phone, lol.

I'm wearing this pink overall from the Japanese brand CO & LU that I have bought from Japan a few years back. I never got to wear this pink overall all that much ever since I got it but it is still one of my favourite item that I have bought. It's just so pink and cute and comfortable to wear! A great outfit to wear for those lazy days when you just want to lounge around at home and do nothing. (▰˘◡˘▰) The pink knit beanie hat is from yesstyle that I also got a few years back. It just happens to match the pink overall so perfectly! o (^‿^✿)

How was everyone's week? I hope it was better than mine.

Outfit: Otsuka Ai Inspired White Winter Scarf Outfit

It's been yet again so long since my last update. I have been meaning to write a new blog post but I got sooooo busy with work in the start of January that I had no time to do anything. Like seriously, I didn't even have time to sleep. I was running on 4 hours of sleep everyday for 2 weeks straight. My body feels so exhausted!!! Hopefully work will be a little less busy in the upcoming weeks so I can get more rest and get on with actually doing some of my new year resolutions. Like exercising daily and take at least one self-portrait for this month.

I also noticed that I have gained a few new followers on bloglovin' while I was away and haven't been able to update my blog. So I just want to say a warm hello to my new followers and thanks for following my blog! (o^__^o)v

Anyway, I wanted to share this outfit I put together that's extremely comfy and warm to wear on those cold days during the winter for a home/room wear kind of look. I was actually inspired by Otsuka Ai's outfit in a music show where she performed the song "Pocket". I modified the outfit a bit since I didn't have the exact same things she wore for the performance but I tried to be as close as I could get in mimicking it with what I have in my closet.

I actually only realized this after I took all my outfit snaps that I forgot to wrap my scarf around my neck once. No wonder I thought it looked a bit strange when I finally imported my photos to my computer to edit them. *total fail* LOL! And I tried to wrap my hair up in a bun and couldn't get it to work. I have very fine, thin and light weight hair. It takes about over 20 pieces of hair put together to make a strand of a hair for me so you can imagine how thin my hair is. I also have no volume to my hair at all and I have very little hair to begin with. When I tried to tie my hair up to make it into a bun, my bun ended up being the size of my thumb finger. It looked as if I have no hair at all! I tried to make it into a bun for about 30 minutes and couldn't get my hair into a big bun and in the end I just decided to leave it in a pony tail instead. But actually even Otsuka Ai doesn't have enough hair to create that voluminous and big bun she has on top of her head. It is actually a fake hair bun that she has on top of her head. I love how she's wearing this really long scarf with feathers attached to them that make it so pretty and winter-y. I didn't have white feathers to attach to my scarf so I wore these white with black polkadots feather earrings that I have. It was as close as I could get! Here are some screencaps from Otsuka Ai's performance outfit for you to compare.

I love her sparkly gold makeup for the performance too. Comment below to tell me what you think of this outfit look or what you would change or add to the outfit! =)

Outfit: 3 Coordinates With One Black & White Tee

I have been meaning to get this post up on my blog but I was so busy for the last 2 weeks with job interviews that I never had time to actually finish writing it. This post has been sitting on my saved draft for the longest time and I kept postponing the post date and now it's finally ready to be published!

It has been so long since my last outfit post. I think the last one I did was back in June? I got so busy over the summer with other things that I didn't have time to do any outfit posts so I'm hoping to get back to doing more during the winter.

And since my friend Stephanie wanted me to show how I'd pair some of my tattoo tights for an outfit in my tattoo tights collection, I put two outfits together with tattoo tights. But I decided to make it a bit more fun by showing you how you can create 3 different outfits with one simple basic white black stripe t-shirt. I often see these type of coordinates in Japanese fashion magazines where a key basic item is used to create several different outfits so I decided to give it a try too! I'm just using whatever I have in my closet to put some outfits together which is perfect when you're low on budget and can't afford to buy new clothes. This really goes to show you can do so much with just one simple basic key item! =)

I only realized this after I took the pic that I forgot to add my black shorts in the outfit layout. No, you cannot go without shorts in this outfit especially with those nude tights with everything showing, LOL!

The first outfit is all about spikes! Spike boots and spike black sweater paired with gun tattoo tight = super dangerous outfit. This outfit makes me feel like a tough girl with a strong attitude like don't mess with me unless you want to die! XD

Second outfit I decided to be a bit more girly and playful. Still wearing the same white black stripe t-shirt but with a spike necklace and hat added and wedge sneakers! I would have added black suspenders too but I don't have any. This outfit would also look nice with a black jumper skirt that's really in for the fall season.

For the third outfit I added a leather jacket and poker tattoo tights for a more sort of edgy rocker look. I changed my spike necklace into a headband which can also be used as a bracelet as well. Very versatile accessory piece that I found on ebay. Isn't it so awesome?

And at last the three different outfit looks in full body shot. I took all these pictures on different days so the lighting and quality is a bit off. Lighting is so important when I'm taking pictures with my iPhone. I hate when the lighting is off and my picture quality turns out all crappy but it can't be helped sometimes with the weather change. =(

I hope this inspire and give you ideas for creating different outfits with one simple key item. Which outfit look is your favourite? =)
